Generalized anxiety disorder does more than make you worry. It can also lead to, or worsen, other mental and physical health conditions, including:

  • Depression
  • Substance abuse
  • Trouble sleeping (insomnia)
  • Digestive or bowel problems
  • Headaches
  • Teeth grinding (bruxism)
