Parts of the throat (pharynx)

Throat cancer can occur in any of the three sections of the throat (pharynx) — a muscular tube that runs from the back of your nose down into your neck. These sections include the nasopharynx, oropharynx and laryngopharynx, which is also called the hypopharynx.
