Complications of narcissistic personality disorder, if left untreated, can include:

  • Substance abuse
  • Alcohol abuse
  • Depression
  • Suicidal thoughts or behavior
  • Eating disorders, particularly anorexia nervosa
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Problems at work or school
