Tests and diagnosis

Tests and procedures used to diagnose pancreatitis include:

  • Blood tests
  • Stool tests
  • Computerized tomography (CT) scan
  • Abdominal ultrasound
  • Endoscopic ultrasound
  • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)

Your doctor may recommend other tests depending on your particular situation.
