Video: Fetal ultrasound

A fetal ultrasound is an exam that allows your health care provider to check on your baby's growth and development. A fetal ultrasound can be done at any point during pregnancy. This video shows an ultrasound of a 17-week-old fetus. You can see the heart beating as well as the mouth opening and closing.
